Mallorca: Iberostar wins double wellbeing certification

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has collected two workplace wellbeing certificates at its headquarters in Palma on 14 September 2026. Full Audit says its review found no non-conformities at the sites assessed. The hotel group passed Full Audit’s MBO organisational wellbeing model and the World Health Organization’s healthy workplace model.

The joint accreditation examines how a company builds employees’ physical and emotional health into its management strategy.

First Spanish hotel chain with both certificates

Iberostar says it is the first hotel chain in Spain to secure the combined accreditation. Luis Zamora, Grupo Iberostar’s director general of people, and the chain’s health and workplace safety director, Lucas Riquelme, attended the presentation in Palma.

They were joined by Full Audit president José María Tarragó and Mónica Saiz, the auditor responsible for the process.

Health ambassadors coordinate the protocols

The group uses designated Health Ambassadors to coordinate the protocols at its properties. Iberostar has more than 100 four- and five-star hotels and over 33,500 rooms in 14 countries.

Its portfolio operates under the Iberostar Waves, Iberostar Selection and JOIA by Iberostar brands.
