Ibiza cancer run tops 400 entries after weather delay

More than 400 people are signed up for a cancer run in Sant Antoni on Ibiza: the town council is releasing more race numbers as entries climb. The five-kilometre run starts at 10.00 on Sunday, 8 November, from Passeig de ses Fonts, alongside a three-kilometre walk. Bad weather delayed this third edition of Sant Antoni camina amb el càncer from its original date.

The town council says participation is at a record high on both routes. Last year, 176 people entered the run. Extra race numbers are now available for the run and the walk.

Last year's event brought together nearly a thousand people and raised 14,780 euros to fight cancer. Entries remain open at www.elitechip.net for 10 euros. All proceeds will go to five associations working in cancer prevention, research and support for patients and their families.
