Ibiza drugs suspect arrested after fleeing since December

A 53-year-old man wanted since December 2025 has been arrested on Ibiza over suspected drug trafficking. The Guardia Civil detained him on Thursday as part of Operation Cavalieri, an investigation into a group alleged to bring drugs into the Balearic archipelago.
The man was subject to a search and arrest order, the Guardia Civil said. Officers from the force’s Judicial Police Territorial Team on Ibiza are still trying to find other suspected members of the group.
So far, Operation Cavalieri has led to 26 arrests and the seizure of 1,558 kilograms of cocaine and nearly 11 tonnes of hashish.
