Ibiza family holidays: 58% return to the island
On the island of Ibiza, family holidays keep drawing visitors back: 58% of family visitors in 2025 had been before, up from 51.5% in 2023. The Ibiza Island Council presented the findings at the World Travel Market fair in London on 3 November 2026. Families account for almost 25% of visitors to the island.
Longer stays, high satisfaction
The study found that 57% of family visitors stayed for seven days or more. Overall satisfaction stood at 87%, rising to 89% among British family visitors.
The council drew on more than 4,000 surveys of family visitors from 2023 to 2025. It also consulted 52 tourism businesses, surveyed families, interviewed people in the industry and looked at other destinations.
A closer fit for families
The report proposes holidays designed for different ages and types of family, rather than simply accommodation that can take families. Of the businesses consulted, 68% saw family tourism as a business opportunity, while 66% believed it could help extend the season.
The findings will guide the Ibiza Family Moments scheme. So far, 43 places to stay have joined, offering 15,849 places. The scheme also includes 177 public and private offerings.
At the fair, island council president Vicent Marí met representatives of TUI and Jet2. Both expect next season to be similar to the one just finished. TUI said British customers were booking closer to their departure dates.
