Ibiza Parador hits 94% occupancy in first summer

Ibiza’s new Parador has filled an average 94% of its rooms in its first summer of operation. The state-run accommodation group Paradores recorded the figure across July and August 2026. Over the same two months, the chain took more than €80 million across its network.

Paradores reported average occupancy of 86.1% nationwide. It booked 295,000 rooms during the summer’s central months, 11,000 more overnight stays than in summer 2025, while its restaurants served about 400,000 meals.

August drives the summer rush

August was the busiest month, with occupancy reaching 90.8% across the network. That was 0.7 percentage points above the previous year, while income rose 8%.

International guests made up 31.2% of all people staying at Paradores. British travellers were the largest overseas market, while arrivals from the United States rose sharply.

Demand was strongest in northern Spain, where occupancy reached 91.4%. Costa da Morte led the network at 98.5%, while several properties in inland Spain recorded between 96% and 97% occupancy.

Eclipse sends 25 hotels to full capacity

A solar eclipse during August pushed average occupancy across the chain close to 95.7%. All 25 Paradores in the area of the peninsula with the best astronomical visibility were fully booked.

Paradores’ online reputation score rose to 88.3%. Guests gave stays an average rating of 4.60 out of 5, with the location of the properties and staff service receiving the highest marks.
