Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands, has a new Parador with a strong UK showing: guests from the UK account for 13% of those who stayed in its first six months. The state-run hotel chain Paradores de Turismo is presenting the Parador de Eivissa-Dalt Vila at the World Travel Market in London from Tuesday, 3 November. Opened in March, it is the chain’s first hotel in the Balearic Islands.

Paradores says the Ibiza hotel has drawn strong interest from the English-speaking market. The UK is already its biggest source of guests from abroad across the chain.

At the London fair, which runs until 5 November, Paradores is seeking new international business and stronger commercial ties. It is promoting culture, food, nature and sustainability alongside the more familiar sun-and-beach holiday. Company president Raquel Sánchez attended the opening day at its display in the Turespaña pavilion.
