Ibiza rubbish crackdown: 52 fines, 80% in three areas

Eivissa Local Police issued 52 fines during checks on rubbish and animals in the Ibiza town between 14 and 20 September. Fifty-one of the fines concerned rubbish offences, while one involved animals.
The town council said 43 fines stemmed from residents’ behaviour and eight were linked to activities. Ses Figueretes, es Pratet and la Marina accounted for 80% of the rubbish fines.
The campaign forms part of the council’s work to improve cleanliness in Eivissa and ensure public spaces are used properly.
