The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) has halted outdoor university activities at its Ibiza and Formentera sites on Wednesday, 16 September, after an orange warning for rain and thunderstorms.
Field trips and planned activities at sea and along the coast in the Pitiusas are also cancelled. At the university’s Palma, Mallorca, and Menorca sites, teaching and administration continue normally.
The UIB had already called off outdoor activities, field trips and activities at sea from 13.00 on Wednesday because of the orange alert for heavy rain.
