Ibiza illegal holiday let sealed after 49 flats checked

Ibiza police seal an illegal holiday let after inspecting 49 flats in a residential building in the city of Eivissa, on the island of Ibiza, on Friday 9 October. The building is near Avenida 8 de Agosto. Officers from Eivissa Local Police and tourism inspectors from the Ibiza Island Council draw up four infringement reports and one report for obstruction of the inspection.

The inspection follows numerous anonymous reports through the Línea Verde reporting channel. People had raised concerns that several flats in the building were being let to tourists without authorisation, Eivissa City Council says. The council says the reports helped direct the joint inspection.
