Ibiza Town reports three illegal holiday lets

Three tourist flats operating illegally in Ibiza Town have been reported after joint checks by the Local Police and the Island Council in the first week of September.

The three cases were among 27 reports from two operations, Ibiza Town Council said. The first, held over the previous weekend, involved 37 interventions and resulted in 17 reports.

Ten of those concerned administrative breaches, six were for traffic offences and one was for unauthorised professional practice. Municipal officers also recorded one case of drug possession and two positive alcohol tests.

In the second operation, officers inspected 11 tourist-rental properties and found three breaches. They also checked 32 vehicles and issued ten traffic reports.
