Two Ibiza flats sealed over illegal holiday lets

Two flats in Sant Josep, Ibiza, have been sealed after police found they were being used for illegal holiday lets. Sant Josep Local Police took the action on 23 September.
The force said the seals are part of its ongoing work with Ibiza Island Council’s Department for Unlicensed Activity. It called the partnership “essential” for finding, checking and acting against businesses operating outside the rules.
Police warned that irregular use of homes as tourist accommodation can reduce the number of properties available for people seeking a permanent home.
