Imserso opens island holidays: 7,447 trips at 50 euros
Imserso opens bookings on Monday, 14 September, for 879,213 holidays in its 2026-2027 programme, including island-coast breaks. The first trips leave from 1 October, with Oropesa the first destination. There are 7,447 places at a flat rate of 50 euros for pensioners on lower incomes.
Until 18 September, eligible travellers can book only from the allocation set aside for their own province. From 19 September, they can also take any unbooked places from other provinces. Sales remain open throughout the season.
Just over half of the places, 50.1%, are for Spain’s mainland coast. Island-coast holidays account for 25.9%, while 23.9% are short breaks, including cultural and nature tours, provincial capitals, Ceuta, Melilla and European destinations.
The programme has 4,602,255 accredited people. Pets are still allowed on mainland- and island-coast holidays; 1,066 people travelled with an animal during the 2025-2026 season.
Bookings can be made through the Turismo Social and Mundicolor websites, depending on the destination, using a national identity document and accreditation code. Authorised travel agencies require only the identity document.
