Mallorca’s Inca grants over €1.4m in tax and fee breaks
More than €1.4 million in discounts in Inca, Mallorca: the town council has cut tax, fee and municipal service bills so far this year. It announced the figure on 5 October 2026. The breaks cover families, people with disabilities, homes, vehicles and businesses.
Homes and vehicles
Property tax accounts for €450,000 of the discounts. They include breaks for large families, protected housing and homes with solar installations. Single-parent families and people who need care are also among those covered by the council’s measures.
More than €430,000 relates to vehicle taxes. The measures cover historic, electric, hybrid and low-emission vehicles, while people with disabilities and the agricultural sector can claim exemptions.
Waste, water and council services
Waste collection fee discounts linked to recycling and ability to pay exceed €300,000. Water supply fees have also been reduced.
The council has granted breaks for business activities and construction, as well as for its music school, conservatoire and childcare services. Mayor Virgilio Moreno says the policy is intended not just to raise revenue, but to respond to different circumstances and encourage certain choices.
