Inca, Mallorca’s PP says the competition is open, transparent and based on the same objective scoring system for every candidate. The party says the approved rules have received a favourable report.

Pedro Mas, a PP councillor in Inca and member of the Teatre Principal Foundation board, backed the position of the Consell de Mallorca and its councillor for Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca. He said the current director can also apply under the same conditions as other candidates.

Mas said legal differences could be examined rigorously, but accused Moreno of presenting only part of the case. He called on the mayor to drop the institutional confrontation and put the theatre ahead of political conflict.
