Mallorca industry included in 500,000-euro aid round

Industrial firms on Mallorca and across the Balearic Islands are in line for help with financing costs from a new 500,000-euro aid round. The Balearic government announced it on Monday, 28 September 2026. It is aimed at self-employed industrial operators, microbusinesses and small and medium-sized firms.

The programme, Ibavals Indústria, covers some costs of financing backed by ISBA, a guarantee society. The Balearic Regional Development Agency (ADRBalears) manages it. The government wants to support improvements to production, digital technology and sustainability, and expects the new round to generate four million euros in industrial investment.

What the aid covers

Each project can receive support for a financed investment of up to 300,000 euros. For the first five years, the aid covers guarantee costs and fees for arranging and assessing the financing. It also covers an amount equivalent to 3% of the interest rate over the same period.

Firms with the Industria Local Sostenible quality mark can receive help with guarantee and interest costs for up to seven years.

When applications open

Applications open the day after the scheme appears in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands and close on 1 October 2027. Firms can apply through the Balearic government's electronic portal or the ISBA and ADRBalears websites.

Since the programme began, 282 industrial firms across the islands have used it, generating more than 27 million euros in investment, according to the government.
