Palma bids €315,500 for Iris cinema to expand school
Palma, Mallorca: the city council is offering €315,500 for the old Iris cinema and adjoining premises on 4 November 2026, aiming to give the school next door more space. The offer does not include the homes. The building stands beside CEIP Es Vivero, which the council wants to expand.
The council based its offer to the owner on a valuation by its technical staff. It has set aside €1.5 million for the purchase and any work later needed on the property. Councillors voted unanimously to buy the former cinema for the school’s expansion. For now, it remains an offer.
