A woman flees into a bar near the Porta de Sant Antoni in Palma, Mallorca, on Tuesday afternoon as another woman allegedly chases her with an iron bar and threatens to kill her. Spain’s National Police arrest the suspect on suspicion of making threats.
The Balearic Islands headquarters of the National Police says a patrol was sent to the area after a report of the chase. Officers found the woman sheltering inside the bar. She told them the suspect had insulted her for several minutes before picking up the bar. She says the suspect threatened to run her through with it and kill her.
Several witnesses backed her account. One said they had to hold the suspect back to prevent an attack.
