Palma shop worker threatened with knife during theft

Palma, Mallorca: A man threatens a shop worker with a knife and takes goods from her store in the city centre on Saturday at midday. Before pulling the knife, he touches his genitals and, while threatening her, asks if she wants to have sex with him. Spanish National Police officers arrest him near the shop shortly afterwards.

The worker first tells the man to leave. When he draws the knife, she presses the panic button without him noticing. He takes several products and leaves the store.

The 091 service alerts a patrol nearby. Officers reach the shop within minutes and speak to the worker. Using witness descriptions and the shop’s video footage, they find the man close to the store. A search turns up a knife and the stolen goods. Police arrest him on suspicion of robbery with violence.
