Three knives seized as Palma police check hits Son Roca
Palma Local Police seized three knives during an early-morning check in Son Roca last Thursday. Officers from the Preventive Action Group, known as GAP, identified nine people and issued five reports after neighbours raised concerns about anti-social behaviour and night-time noise.
Three of the reports concerned carrying bladed weapons in public. Police took a folding knife measuring 23 centimetres, along with two others with blades of nine and five centimetres.
The other two reports were for disrespect towards officers. Police also reported a man under the civic ordinance for disturbing neighbours with noise in the early hours.
GAP began criminal proceedings against a driver who had never obtained a driving licence. Another driver tested positive in a breath test but was below the criminal threshold and received an administrative report. Police also had a car towed to the municipal depot because its owner lacked compulsory third-party insurance.
