Balearic business services pay bills 20.87 days late

Business service firms in the Balearic Islands pay their bills an average of 20.87 days after the agreed deadline in the second quarter of 2026. Only Melilla, the Canary Islands and Ceuta record longer delays in the sector, according to a study by Informa D&B.

Across Spain, business service firms pay an average of 15.25 days late. Navarra has the shortest delay in the sector, at 9.09 days. The Balearic figure is high compared with the same kind of firms elsewhere in Spain, but it is below the average across all industries on the islands.

Less than half of the sector’s payments across Spain arrive on time: 42.38%, compared with 43.26% across all industries. Another 3.95% arrive more than 90 days late. Microbusinesses have the longest average delay in the sector, at 16.07 days, while small businesses have the shortest, at 13.73 days. The study gives no separate figure for Mallorca.
