Formentera rescue: German man, 64, in intensive care

A 64-year-old German man is in intensive care after lifeguards pull him from the water at Llevant beach on Formentera on Sunday, 4 October. The drowning incident happens at about 13.20, according to emergency medical service SAMU 061.
Lifeguards begin CPR and continue until an advanced life support ambulance arrives. The ambulance crew restores the man’s pulse. A medical helicopter then takes him to Can Misses Hospital, where he remains in intensive care in a very serious condition.
