Luisa Camara takes over Travelgate from its founder

Luisa Camara now runs Travelgate, the accommodation platform whose annual industry events she leads on the island of Mallorca. She replaced founder Pedro Camara as chief executive in June 2026, parent group Travelsoft said on 27 October.

Her plans include giving customers hotel, room and meal-plan details through the same connection they already use to check prices and availability and make bookings. Camara joined Travelgate in April 2016 and has worked across sales, product, marketing and strategy. She also leads ConX and AfterX, which bring tourism and technology companies together on Mallorca each year.

Pedro Camara now runs Travelsoft Services, which supplies accommodation and other travel services to agencies. He is developing a new company within the group from that business, though Travelsoft has yet to announce the details. He remains an executive adviser to Travelgate’s board.
