Luisa Fanjul takes charge of AEDH’s hotel talent
Luisa Fanjul has become coordinator of AEDH Joven, the Spanish hotel directors’ association’s division for young talent. The appointment was announced in Madrid on 17 September. Fanjul, a lecturer and researcher at Universidad Europea de Madrid, will work to bring young professionals closer to the hotel industry.
The Asociación Española de Directores de Hotel, known as AEDH, said Fanjul combines academic research with work in corporate communications and tourism technology. She is currently content manager for Septeo in Spain and Portugal, communications director at 123Compare.me and leads the Tornare Chair in Tourism, Communication and Technology with Purpose.
Linking universities and hotel businesses
In her new role, Fanjul will organise meeting forums and share practical knowledge. Her plan also aims to give emerging professionals a place in the decision-making bodies and debates shaping Spain’s tourism sector.
“AEDH Joven is an opportunity for young people to understand the sector from within, learn from those who have been building it for years and bring their own perspective,” Fanjul said.
