Mallorca machete attack leaves man with leg wound
Mallorca: A machete attack leaves a man with an eight-centimetre open wound to his left leg in a dimly lit car park in Manacor, Mallorca, on Wednesday night. He is taken to hospital. Spanish National Police arrest a suspect on Friday afternoon.
The man and a friend had earlier argued with two others in a nightclub. As they headed back to their hotel, the two men they had argued with confronted them in the car park, police say. One threatened the victim and pulled out a 60-centimetre machete. The victim dodged several swings before the blade struck his leg.
The attacker fled, and officers called to the scene could not find him. Police investigators in Manacor later identified a suspect. Officers found and arrested him on Friday afternoon on suspicion of causing injury.
