Mallorca's Andorra match postponed after player's death
RCD Mallorca's Sunday match at FC Andorra is off: the LaLiga Hypermotion fixture has been postponed after the death of CD Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel Alameda, 30. As of 4 November 2026, the clubs have yet to agree a new date.
Andorra asked LaLiga and the Spanish football federation, the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, to postpone the match as a mark of respect. The club said the death had deeply affected its players, coaches and staff, and it has offered psychological support to anyone there who needs it.
De Miguel collided with goalkeeper Jesús Owono during Tuesday's match at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López. He died after a cardiorespiratory arrest. Saturday's match between Granada CF and CD Tenerife at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes has also been postponed.
Mallorca confirmed the decision and offered condolences to de Miguel's family and loved ones, and to CD Tenerife. The clubs must now agree when their match will be played.
