For voters on Mallorca, the Balearic Islands’ joint left-wing list is set for the 29N election to Spain’s Congress: Ara Més leads it, while a Podemos candidate takes third place as an independent. The list brings Ara Més and Frente Amplio together after a deal with Podemos. The parties filed their candidates with the electoral authority on Monday.

The agreement stands out because Podemos is running its own Congress list against Frente Amplio in most constituencies. Across Spain, Izquierda Unida heads Frente Amplio’s lists in 29 constituencies, while Movimiento Sumar leads in six. In the Balearic Islands, the two sides have chosen one list instead.
