Mallorca boat berths: Apply by 31 December or lose them
Mallorca berth holders in five ports have until 31 December 2026 to apply for new permits or lose their allocated spaces. Ports de Balears opened applications on Thursday, 1 October, for people whose temporary permits expire at the end of the year. The ports are Colònia de Sant Jordi, Es Barcarès, Pollença, s’Oberta and Valldemossa, all on Mallorca.
The process covers Spanish list 7 boats: sport and leisure craft used without a profit motive, and boats used for non-commercial fishing. In Colònia de Sant Jordi, it includes both berths in the water and spaces on land.
Forms are available on the Ports de Balears online platform, which the port authority recommends using. Applicants can instead hand in their documents at its main office at 36 Calle de Vicente Tofiño in Coll d’en Rabassa, Palma. Anyone who misses the deadline loses their preferential right to a new permit and must vacate their allocated berth.
