Mallorca meter door thefts: 157 kilos recovered

On Mallorca, aluminium doors vanish from electricity meters at rural properties in the municipalities of Inca, Selva and Campanet. On 19 October, the Guardia Civil reports recovering 157 kilos of the doors and investigating a 28-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman over the thefts. Those affected reported the missing doors in early September.
The Guardia Civil’s Equipo Roca team found the two suspects during its investigation. They are suspected of a series of thefts involving force. Several of the recovered doors have been returned to their 13 rightful owners.
