Mallorca flight bookings jump 417.5% on Kiwi.com

Mallorca flight bookings on Kiwi.com have jumped 417.5% from a year earlier, putting Palma among the fastest-growing island destinations on the travel platform. The figure covers bookings made by Spanish travellers from 1 January to 15 September 2026. Kiwi.com released the data on 25 September.

Spain is now the platform’s biggest destination by booking volume, with bookings up 226.5%. Ibiza recorded the sharpest rise among the islands, at 585.5%, followed by Lanzarote at 516.8%, Palma de Mallorca at 417.5% and Menorca at 380.2%.

The figures come as Spanish travellers make more trips but spend less per passenger. Flight bookings across all destinations rose 137.2% over the same period, while average spend per passenger fell 16.8%.

The average stay was 2.39 days, down 15.2% on 2025. Short trips of up to 1,500 kilometres led the growth, with bookings up 152.1%, while their average price dropped 13.6%.

Bookings were made 44.17 days ahead on average, almost unchanged from 2025. The median was 29 days, pointing to shorter trips and nearer destinations rather than a change in how early people book.
