Mallorca Senate election: Armengol eyes MÉS pact

Mallorca could get joint PSIB-MÉS candidates for the Senate: PSIB secretary-general Francina Armengol says she expects talks with MÉS to succeed. Speaking in Palma, Mallorca, on 15 October 2026, she says the parties are also discussing joint candidates in Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera.

Armengol makes the case at a press conference to present her party’s candidates for the Congress of Deputies in the coming election. She calls a joint Senate run the most suitable way to stop the right and far right. Her party is working flat out towards an agreement, she says, but she gives no details of how the talks are progressing.
