Mallorca faces showers as Ibiza gets rain warning

Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, faces showers around midday on Friday. Some could be locally heavy, with thunder possible. A rain warning covers Ibiza and Formentera, the Spanish State Meteorological Agency says.
High pressure keeps most of Spain settled, with little cloud or high cloud. The Balearic Islands are the exception. Overnight temperatures are expected to rise across the islands, while winds on the easternmost islands turn northerly.
