Mallorca storms: strong showers may hit south today

Strong showers with thunderstorms may move into southern Mallorca on Wednesday afternoon, 16 September. The island begins the day with mostly clear skies before cloud increases later on. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, says the showers could be locally strong.
Temperatures are expected to change little, or daytime highs may fall. On Menorca, north and north-east winds will strengthen to moderate. Elsewhere in the Balearic Islands, winds will be light and variable with coastal breezes, later turning north-easterly and remaining light to moderate.
