In Manacor, Mallorca, a small-shop receipt for 20 euros or more can bring a concert ticket: purchases made between 13 and 20 October qualify for Manu Guix’s show on 13 November. Manacor Town Council is offering one ticket per qualifying receipt for the concert at the Auditorio de Manacor, until seats run out.

Shoppers can exchange their receipts at the council’s Commerce Department from 20 October. Mayor Ferran Montero says the offer aims to connect culture with the local economy. Paula Asegurado, who is responsible for commerce, says the council wants to make local shops more visible and boost their trade.
