Mallorca: Marga Durán joins PP’s national campaign

Palma, Mallorca: Marga Durán joins the People’s Party (PP) national campaign team as the Balearic representative ahead of Spain’s 29 November general election. She is a member of the Balearic Parliament and the PP’s deputy spokeswoman there. The Balearic PP announced her appointment on 8 October.

Durán already co-ordinates the party’s campaigns in the islands. The Balearic PP says her new role will help link its campaign with the national effort and give the islands’ needs a stronger place in Alberto Núñez Feijóo’s plans for government.

The party says it is preparing to mobilise members, elected officials and supporters in every municipality across the islands. Durán says it wants to make Feijóo Spain’s next prime minister. She argues that the vote offers people in the Balearics, as well as elsewhere in Spain, a chance to end Pedro Sánchez’s time in power.
