Palma, Mallorca: Balearic vice-president Antoni Costa says voters must judge whether Maricarmen’s death affects the general election or its campaign. He speaks to reporters on Thursday, 8 October, two weeks after Maricarmen, a woman in her eighties, was evicted in Madrid.
Asked whether her death could be used for political ends, Costa says he has complete faith in voters’ judgement. They will have their say on 29 November, he says, and he is confident they will weigh the matter carefully.
Costa also expresses his respect for Maricarmen and offers his condolences to her family.
