Mallorca Government backs marital property bill

The Government has backed a marital property bill, covering how property is handled in marriage, so it can continue through Parliament. The decision came in Palma, Mallorca, on 25 September 2026. The proposal was jointly submitted by PP, PSIB, Vox, MÉS per Mallorca and the Mixed Group.
Parliament’s Bureau had accepted the bill for consideration on 16 September 2026. After examining it, the Government supported Parliament taking it into consideration and approved its processing under Article 139.3 of Parliament’s rules.
The Government’s agreement will now go to Parliament, allowing the bill to continue its parliamentary route.
