Mallorca medical centre gets go-ahead for 55 places
The Balearic Government has given the go-ahead for the Beato Luis Belda University Centre, affiliated with Universidad San Pablo CEU, to start teaching in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Its medical degree will offer 55 places for new students. The centre will also run degrees in nursing, physiotherapy and psychology. Nursing will have 100 places, while physiotherapy and psychology will each offer 40.
Deputy government spokeswoman Antònia Maria Estarellas announced the decision after Friday's Consell de Govern meeting in Palma, Mallorca. The approval followed favourable assessments of the degree plans by the University Quality Agency, positive decisions from the State Universities Council and the other reports and permissions required under current rules.
