Mallorca's Meliá opens 265-unit Vietnam beach resort
Mallorca-based Meliá Hotels International now has 265 rooms, suites and private-pool villas on Bai Dai beach in Vietnam: its new five-star resort opened on 1 October. The company announced the opening on Monday, 5 October. Called Meliá Serenity Cam Ranh Beach Resort, it is ten minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport.
The resort offers all-inclusive stays for families and couples and welcomes guests with pets. Its first phase has eight places to eat, serving local and international food, including Mediterranean and Spanish dishes at Cape Nao. There is a 1,194-square-metre lagoon-style family pool and a 990-square-metre infinity pool, alongside the YHI Spa, tennis and pickleball facilities, and spaces for children and teenagers.
For Meliá, the opening is part of a wider push into South-East Asia. The 265 rooms, suites and villas are the first stage of a development planned to have 802 hotel and residential units.
