44 migrants reach Mallorca and Cabrera in three boats

Forty-four migrants arrived at points on Mallorca and Cabrera in three boats on Friday. The Guardia Civil and Salvamento Marítimo intercepted the groups. The arrivals brought the number of migrants reaching the Balearics that day to 118.
Nine people from the Maghreb reached the shoreline at Cala sa Nau, in Felanitx, Mallorca, at about 19.00, according to the Spanish Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands. A further nine people from the Maghreb had come ashore at Cala Santanyí by about 21.00.
The third boat, carrying 26 people from sub-Saharan Africa, was intercepted at 23.55, one and a half miles south-east of Cabrera.
