12 migrants reach Formentera as Balearic total hits 71

Twelve migrants reportedly come ashore at es Caló beach on Formentera on Tuesday, taking the number of migrants arriving in the Balearic Islands that day to 71. The Guardia Civil intercepted the group after their arrival by boat.
The Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands said the 12 people were of Maghreb origin and are believed to have landed at about 18.50.
Their arrival brings Tuesday’s total across the Balearic Islands to 71 migrants.
