30 missing: boat engine fails en route to Balearics

A boat carrying about 30 people, including two under-18s, remains missing while heading for the Balearic Islands after its engine failed on Saturday. Alarm Phone said the vessel had still not reached the coast. The group left Bordj El Bahri in Algeria last Friday.
The organisation reported the case in a post on X. It said the engine failure came after the crossing had begun and that the authorities had already been alerted to the situation. Two of the people on board are minors, according to Alarm Phone.
