Ibiza mobile office opens for self-employed grant advice
In Eivissa on Ibiza, a mobile office offers self-employed people face-to-face advice on grants on Monday 5 October. The Balearic government’s Department of Business, the Self-Employed and Energy says the Oficina del Autónomo is at Parque de la Paz from 09.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 17.30. People starting a business can also ask about help and services available to them.
The office heads to Formentera on Tuesday, Sant Antoni on Wednesday and Santa Eulària on Thursday. It is part of a travelling service intended to make advice easier to access across the Balearic Islands.
Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, the Balearic minister for business, the self-employed and energy, visited the office in Eivissa on Monday. He said self-employed people should not have to keep paying contributions while off sick. The government’s ‘Escudo autónomo’ scheme is intended to compensate them for contributions during their first two months of medical leave. He said support for established self-employed people would open for applications again in January.
