Mallorca weather: Monday sun as daytime highs fall

Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, sees daytime highs fall on Monday despite mostly clear skies. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) expects some high cloud across the islands. A high-pressure system keeps the weather largely settled across the Balearics and mainland Spain.
On Menorca, the wind known as the tramontana could be strong. The contrast is sharper in Spain’s Canary Islands: orange warnings for rain and thunderstorms cover La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, while Tenerife is under a yellow warning. Heavy rain could linger in parts of La Palma.
