Mallorca murder trial: family recounts death threat
Mallorca murder trial hears of a death threat: María del Rosario’s sister says the accused threatened to kill his partner and her family in a phone call shortly after María del Rosario reported him. She gives evidence on Tuesday, 6 October, at the Provincial Court in Palma, Mallorca. The man is accused of stabbing María del Rosario 66 times in December 2024 while driving a car on the road to Can Pastilla, with their younger daughter present.
The sister says María del Rosario was with her during the call. Her complaint later led to a protection order. She also tells the court that the accused controlled María del Rosario and that there were stretches when she did not see her sister.
María del Rosario’s mother says her daughter had decided to leave him and was taking clothes out of their home little by little so he would not notice. Her brother-in-law says he never witnessed violence between the couple. The sister says the couple’s older daughter asks for her mother every day.
