Palma approves 14 new homes, 10 in under a month
Palma, Mallorca: the city approves 14 new homes, with permits for ten of them granted in less than a month. Palma City Council said on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, that those three permits cover a nine-home building, a single-family house and an industrial building. Two further permits allow a three-home building and another single-family house.
The first three permits went through planning-check bodies called Entidades de Colaboración Urbanística (ECUs). They check whether projects meet current planning rules before the council decides. The council says this review cuts waiting times for such applications to between one and three months. The decision to grant a permit remains with the city.
