Rain varies sharply between islands

Across the Balearics, rainfall averages 105 litres per square metre, compared with the usual 79. Most of it falls as Dana Adam passes through. Mallorca’s usual October figure is 80 litres per square metre.

Menorca records 62 litres per square metre, 5% below its usual 67. Eivissa gets 232 litres per square metre against the usual 77, while Formentera records 213 against 44. Mallorca’s wetter-than-usual month is far from the biggest departure across the islands.
