Mallorca: New padel courts in nearly €214,000 upgrade
New padel courts are in place at the ses Ramones sports facilities in Colònia de Sant Jordi, Mallorca. Ses Salines council has used nearly €214,000 from the Mallorca Island Council to improve its municipal sports facilities. On Friday, 2 October, island councillor Pedro Bestard visited the sites with Ses Salines mayor Guillem Mas.
The funding also paid for building work and pre-installation work at a football pitch, as well as new facilities and work to secure supplies at the Jaume Bonet ‘Cometa’ sports ground, the island council said.
Bestard said the improvements would support physical activity and leisure and benefit public health. Mas described sport as essential to local people.
