Mallorca Palestine rally targets arms shipments via ports
Mallorca: A Palestine solidarity rally is planned for Palma’s Plaza de España at 18.00 on Friday 30 October. Organisers want ports to play no part in supplying weapons or providing logistics for war and what they describe as genocide. Global Sumud Movement de Baleares and Mallorca per Palestina have called the gathering, according to a statement from the groups.
The Palma housing group Acampada por la Vivienda is backing the rally. It coincides with an international day of action by port workers against war, militarisation and what the organisers call the genocide of the Palestinian people. Port workers in different countries are mobilising to stop ports being used for war; the two groups say the Palma gathering will show support for them.
