Celebrations in the City Centre

On Thursday, November 23, Palma's city centre will come alive with the vibrant colours of the Christmas lights. The spectacular illumination ceremony promises an unforgettable experience, with live music and entertainment turning the streets into a dazzling wonderland. Responsibilities for a New Director-General

This year, the responsibility for the city's Christmas lights has been entrusted to the newly appointed director-general for music and the performing arts, Rafel Brunet. Taking charge of these illuminations is one of the many tasks brought back in-house after the previous administration had outsourced them. In light of the forthcoming event, Belén Soto, the town hall's spokesperson and councillor for infrastructure, has emphasised that the contracting process is already underway.

A Change in Tradition

In contrast to last year when the lights were switched on a week before Black Friday, this year's celebration will take place on November 23.
