Palma hotel prices hit 290 euros a night in September

A hotel night in Palma de Mallorca is set to average 290 euros from 14 to 21 September 2026. Hotels in the city are 96% booked for the period. That makes Palma the costliest of the five Spanish destinations tracked by booking platform eBooking.com.

The average Palma rate is 9.4% higher than a year earlier. Across Palma, Barcelona, Benidorm, Madrid and Seville, the average night costs 245.4 euros, up 27.8%, while bookings reach 96%.

Toni Raurich, director of eBooking.com, says the rise is being driven by the lack of rooms available for late bookings. The accommodation still available is mainly in the more expensive bracket.

Palma sits ahead of Barcelona, where a night averages 270 euros, and Madrid at 265 euros. Barcelona is the only one of the five cities where average prices fall, slipping 3.6%, although its booking level rises to 94%.

Seville records the sharpest percentage increase, with rates rising from 125 to 210 euros a night, up 68%, and hotels 97% booked. Madrid rises from 165 to 265 euros, an increase of 60.6%, while Benidorm reaches 192 euros, up 53.6%, with both destinations close to full.
